Lady Bison bounce back; Bison fall to Red Devils

CARLISLE — The Carlisle Lady Bison bounced back from their first conference loss to Brinkley with a 53-33 win over Augusta on Friday at Bison Arena. 
Carlisle is now 14-6 overall and 11-1 in 2A-6 play. The Lady Bison lost to Brinkley 56-48 on Tuesday night at Brinkley. 
Carlisle got off to a good start, leading 17-5 after one quarter and 30-16 at halftime.
Augusta scored the first four points of the second half to cut Carlisle's lead to 30-20. 
The Lady Red Devils cut the deficit to single digits at 32-24 with 4:36 left in the third quarter. Carlisle led 38-29 after three quarters.
Carlisle pushed its lead to 42-29 early in the fourth quarter. Kylie Warren hit two free throws and Molli Weems hit a baseline jumper.
Augusta tried to stay in striking distance, trailing 45-33 with 5:41 left in the game. Carlisle then scored the game's final 8 points to seal the victory. Weems scored 4 points during the run. Kimberly Lott scored 2 and Nicquira Burnett and Warren hit 1 free throw each.
Warren led Carlisle with 21 points. Elex McClain had 11. Weems scored 9. Peyton Hitchings had 5. Burnett scored 3. Kayla Golleher and Lott had 2 points each.

Bison fall to Red Devils
The Augusta Red Devils jumped out to a big lead in beating the Carlisle Bison 62-31 on Friday.
Augusta led 22-4 after one quarter and 41-12 at halftime.
Brynden Weems led Carlisle with 18 points. Devon Kendrick scored 8. Cole Sheets had 3. Nick Schafer scored 2.
