LONOKE — The 4A-2 district tournament, which was scheduled to start today at the Gina Cox Center, has been pushed back a day, according to Lonoke Schools athletic director Nathan Morris.
Friday was an off day for the tournament. However, that day will now be used for the semifinals of the tournament, which were originally scheduled for Thursday. The finals will be Saturday at 6 p.m. for the girls and 7:15 p.m. for the boys.
Girls tourney
The first game of the girls tournament will be played Tuesday when Helena-West Helena Central plays Stuttgart at 6 p.m. The winner of that game will play Lonoke on Wednesday at 4 p.m. The winner of Wednesday's game will play Heber Springs on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The winner of that game will play top-seed Riverview at 4 p.m. on Friday.
Southside Batesville and Newport will play Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The winner of that game will play e-Stem at 4 p.m. on Thursday. The winner of that game will play Central Arkansas Christian in the semifinals Friday at 6:30 p.m.
The championship game is Saturday at 6 p.m.
Boys tourney
Southside Batesville and Newport will play the first game of the boys tournament Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. The winner of that game will play Lonoke at 5:15 on Wednesday. The winner of that game will play CAC on Thursday at 7:45 p.m. The winner of that game will play top seed West Helena on Friday at 5:15 p.m. in the semifinals.
Stuttgart will play Heber Springs on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. The winner will play e-Stem at 5:15 p.m. Thursday. The winner of that game will play Riverview in the semifinals on Friday at 7:45 p.m. The championship game is Saturday at 7:15 p.m.
