I shot my first amateur wrestling and I really didn't know what I was doing. Luckily, it was only practice for Cabot HS and I had some decent images. It was also the first time I had used my Canon EOS 40D, which rules! I love WWE wrestling but these kids are working hard in learning the rules and techniques for wrestling.

a good start. i would advise shooting from a prone position. not exactly the most comfortable position to shoot in, but the angle gets you the best perspective. remember, they're looking down for most of the match.

thanks for the advice. Did you strobe your photos? I'm going to shoot a scrimmage between Cabot and Beebe in a couple of weeks and try it again.

yes. i used two white lightnings about 90-degrees from each other. shot pretty much in between the two.
