Carlisle splits with Kipp Delta

CARLISLE — Carlisle Bison and Lady Bison split two games with Kipp Delta Charter School last week.
The Lady Bison beat the Lady Blue Hornets 57-15 while the Bison fell to the Blue Hornets 78-62
In the girls game, Carlisle scored the first 12 points. Kylie Warren scored 8 of those points while Kayla Golleher and Elex McClain scored 2 each during the run.
After a Kipp Delta free throw made the score 12-1, the Lady Bison scored 5 more. Peyton Hitchings hit a 3-pointer while Golleher and McClain each hit a free throw.
The Lady Bison led 19-5 after one quarter and 40-12 at halftime.
Warren led Carlisle with 24 points. Golleher had 9. McClain scored 7. Ashby Terry and Hitchings had 5 points each. Nikita Harper and Journey Jennings had 3 point search. Nicquira Burnett had 1.
In the boys game, the Bison trailed 24-12 after one quarter but cut the deficit to 1 points in the second quarter before the Blue Hornets led 44-30 at halftime. 
Nick Schafer led the Bison with 17 points. Devon Kendrick had 16. Brynden Weems had 14. Cole Sheets scored 4. Dominic Castleberry, Drake Adams and Korbin Burton had 2 points each. Gray Amaden added a free throw.

Carlisle played at Marvell on Friday. The Lady Bison won to improve to 10-5 overall and 8-0 in 2A-6 league play. The Bison fell to 1-7 in league play. Information from those games will appear soon.
